National Administrative Law Week

From June 2 to 6, Caroline Healey, the Head of our organization and Administrator of both the Ship Fund and the Rail Fund, will be participating in the National Administrative Law Week events and training program, organized jointly by the Canadian Institute for the Administration of Justice (CIAJ) and the Council of Canadian Administrative Tribunals (CCAT).

Canadian Club of Montreal Luncheon Conference

On June 16, 2025, the Head of our organization and Administrator of the Ship Fund, Caroline Healey, will attend the Canadian Club of Montreal luncheon conference entitled “Le Canada, nation maritime : renforcer notre compétitivité à travers le corridor Saint-Laurent–Grands Lacs”. The presentation will be given by Julie Gascon, President and Chief Executive Officer of the Montreal Port Authority.

2025 Atlantic Fire Leadership Conference

From July 3 to 6, we will be participating in MFCA’s 2025 Atlantic Fire Leadership Conference in Summerside, P.E.I.

Cameron Grant, our Director and General Counsel, Ship Fund, will be presenting at 8:30 a.m. on July 4 during session #1 entitled “Cost-Recovery Tools for Emergency Responders: Dealing with Oil Spills from Ships and Boats.”

Oceans Protection Plan (OPP) Quebec Region Dialogue Forum

From February 25 to 26, 2025, Jannie Bédard Guillemette, our Communications Manager, will be participating at the OPP Quebec Region Dialogue Forum hosted by Transport Canada in Wendake, Quebec.

Federation of Canadian Municipalities (FCM’s) 2025 Annual Conference and Trade Show

Hamilton Community Awareness and Emergency Response (CAER) Meeting

On December 12, our Legal Counsel, Elise Mallette, will be presenting at the Hamilton CAER meeting. The session will focus on emergency management for the transportation sector in Hamilton and its surrounding region.

This discussion aims to foster collaboration with our partners and stakeholders to support the integration of cost recovery measures into their emergency response protocols.
